Protect or unlock a PDF
Protect encrypts the whole file with the password you type, and anyone opening it in Acrobat, Preview or a browser has to enter it. Unlock takes a password you know and saves a copy without it, which other superPDF tools need before they can open the file. superPDF doesn’t store your password and can’t crack or recover a lost one.
- Choose a PDF.
- Pick Add a password or Remove the password, then type it.
- Select Protect PDF or Remove password and download the file.
