Adds a password to a PDF with AES-256 encryption, or removes a password you know.

How to use it

  1. Open Protect & unlock PDF in superPDF.
  2. Choose a document, or pick one saved in My documents.
  3. Set the options described below.
  4. Select Protect PDF, check the result, then download it.

Output

A new PDF that asks for the password when it is opened, or one that opens without it.

Limits

No file size or page limit. Everything runs on your device, so very large files are fastest on a computer.

superPDF never guesses or bypasses passwords. If you forget the password of a protected file, it can’t recover the document.

Privacy

Encryption runs in your browser. Your password isn’t stored or sent anywhere.
