Preparation agent
Redact, flatten and number a document before you share it.
Gets a document ready to share or sign: permanent redaction of the words you name, flattening form fields, removing metadata, page numbers, a watermark and compression, in a safe order.
How to use it
- Open Preparation agent and set up the AI if you haven’t.
- Describe the preparation, such as redact the account number 4417 1234 5678 9113, remove the metadata and number the pages, and choose the document.
- Select Plan steps. Check the preview of each step; redaction and compression ask you to confirm a second time.
Output
A new version of the document, with each step kept in Version history so it can be undone.
Redaction
Redaction works like Redact PDF: every page where the words appear becomes an image with them painted black, so nothing underneath survives, and bookmarks, form fields and attachments that repeat them are removed. Before the step is offered, superPDF checks that the words are gone from the text and those places. The preview shows the blacked-out pages. Words split across lines, and words on scanned pages without a text layer, aren’t found: check the preview. The agent proposes redaction only when your request asks to redact or hide something.
Compression
Compression turns every page into an image, so text, links and form fields stop being selectable. The agent proposes it only when you ask for a smaller file, and it runs last.
Limits
superPDF sets no file size or page limit.
Needs AI: download an on-device model in On-device AI models, or connect your own API key in Chat with PDF. AI can be wrong, so check the result before you rely on it.
Privacy
Document operations run in your browser. Planning uses the AI you choose: with a model on this device, nothing leaves it; with your own API key, your request, the document names and some page text go from your browser straight to your provider, never through superPDF. See Privacy: AI features.
