Limits

• No file size or page limit. Everything runs on your device, so very large files are fastest on a computer.
• Supported files: PDF, plus JPG and PNG images where a tool accepts them.
• Password-protected PDFs open in the editor only after you remove the password with Protect & unlock PDF.

Scanned documents

Text tools read the embedded text layer of a PDF. Scanned pages are images with no text layer; run OCR PDF first to make them searchable.

Browsers

Use a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. AI that runs on this device needs a current Chrome or Edge, or Safari 26 or later. Large documents need more memory; close other heavy tabs if a document is slow to open.
