Output

A PDF with selectable, searchable text, its document title set and page numbers in the footer.

Templates

  • Invoice: invoice number, issue and due dates, currency, who it is from and who it is for, items, tax rate and notes. Each line is quantity × unit price rounded to the cent (half up), the subtotal is the sum of the lines, tax is the subtotal × rate rounded the same way, and the total is subtotal plus tax, so the figures always add up. A negative unit price can be used for a discount. When the items run onto another page, the column headings are repeated there.
  • Report: title, author, date and text. A line starting with # becomes a heading and ## a subheading; both also become bookmarks in the PDF. A line starting with - becomes a bullet point, and a blank line starts a new paragraph.
  • Résumé: name, headline, contact details, summary, experience and education (each with dates and bullet points) and skills. Each section is also a bookmark.
  • Plain text: your text as written, with its line breaks, and the title you give as the document title.

Languages

Text in Latin alphabets works, including accented letters (such as Łódź or Zoë) and Vietnamese. Cyrillic, Greek, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew and other scripts, and emoji, aren’t supported yet: superPDF lists the characters it can’t show instead of creating a PDF with gaps.
