Markdown to PDF
Create PDFs from Markdown files.
Turns a Markdown (.md) file into a PDF with selectable text, on A4 or Letter pages.
How to use it
- Open Markdown to PDF in superPDF.
- Choose a document, or pick one saved in My documents.
- Set the options described below.
- Select Convert to PDF, check the result, then download it.
Options
| Option | Values | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Files | Accepts MD, MARKDOWN, TXT | |
| Page size | One of A4, Letter | A4 |
Output
A PDF with headings, paragraphs, bold and italic text, links, lists (including nested and task lists), quotes, code blocks, rules and simple tables laid out for you. Pages are numbered when there is more than one.
What isn’t supported
- HTML files and web addresses aren’t supported: superPDF doesn’t fetch web pages.
- Images in Markdown can’t be loaded from a single file, so they appear as their description, for example [Image: diagram]. Raw HTML inside Markdown is shown as plain text.
- The PDF uses the standard Helvetica and Courier fonts, which cover Latin alphabets. Emoji and other scripts (such as Chinese, Arabic or Cyrillic) are replaced with “?”, and superPDF tells you how many characters were replaced.
- Very wide tables shrink their columns to fit the page; table rows aren’t split across pages.
Limits
No file size or page limit. Everything runs on your device, so very large files are fastest on a computer.
