Annotate PDF
Highlight, draw, and leave notes.
Annotates a PDF with highlights, underlines, strike-outs, rectangles and sticky notes, in five colours.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF and select Add mark-up. The first page appears.
- Pick a type and colour, then drag on the page to draw a box. For a sticky note, type the comment first; the note icon goes at the box’s top-left corner.
- Select a box to change its type, colour or comment, drag it to move it, or drag its corner to resize it. Use the arrows above the page to switch pages.
- Select Add mark-up again and download the annotated PDF.
Output
A new PDF whose annotations are standard PDF comments, so Acrobat, Preview, browser PDF viewers and other readers show them, and you can move, edit or delete them there later.
Using the keyboard
Select Add box to place a box in the middle of the page. With a box focused, the arrow keys move it (hold Shift to move further), Alt with the arrow keys resizes it, and Delete removes it.
Limits
No file size or page limit. Everything runs on your device, so very large files are fastest on a computer. Boxes are drawn by hand, so a highlight covers the area you draw rather than snapping to words. Freehand drawing and text boxes typed onto the page are coming soon.
