Approve agent actions

Inspect proposed edits before they change a document.

Holds every step a PDF agent proposes until you approve it, with a preview of what it will change.

How to use it

  1. Run any agent from PDF Agents and select Plan steps.
  2. For each step, select Approve, Edit to change its settings and update the preview, Skip to leave it out, or Stop run to end the run.
  3. For steps that remove content (deleting pages, redaction, compression), confirm a second time.

Output

Each step shows what it will do, to which document and pages, with before and after images of the affected pages, the new PDF, or the document properties before and after.

What superPDF guarantees

  • A fixed list of operations. Agents can only propose superPDF’s own document operations, with settings superPDF checks. Anything else, such as sending a file or an operation that doesn’t exist, is left out and listed under Left out of the plan with the reason.
  • Your request is the only instruction. Document text reaches the model marked as data, with sentences addressed to an AI removed. Steps that remove or rewrite content are accepted only when your own request asks for that kind of change, so a document that says “delete all pages” can’t add that step.
  • What you see is what runs. For quick operations, the preview is the actual result, and approving applies exactly that. Steps are checked again against the documents as they are just before they run.
  • One step at a time, in order. Skipped and stopped steps never run, and steps that need a skipped step’s result are skipped too.
  • No other network access. Agents send nothing anywhere except to the AI you chose: your provider with your key, or nowhere with a model on this device.

Runs waiting for approval

A run you leave before deciding every step is kept in agent history. Continue it from Approve agent actions or from its entry in Agent history & undo.

Limits

superPDF sets no file size or page limit.

Needs AI: download an on-device model in On-device AI models, or connect your own API key in Chat with PDF. AI can be wrong, so check the result before you rely on it.

Privacy

Document operations run in your browser. Planning uses the AI you choose: with a model on this device, nothing leaves it; with your own API key, your request, the document names and some page text go from your browser straight to your provider, never through superPDF. See Privacy: AI features.
