Output
A tagged PDF with a table for each visible sheet, which screen readers can follow. Notes under the result list anything that could not be carried over.
What is kept
- Each visible sheet becomes a table on landscape pages, with row numbers and column letters.
- Numbers keep their format (decimals, thousands separators, percentages, dates), and formulas show their last saved result.
- Wide sheets are split into groups of columns.
Limits
No file size or page limit. Everything runs on your device, so very large files are fastest on a computer. superPDF lays the file out itself instead of running Excel, so the result is close but not identical. Fonts are replaced with the standard PDF fonts (Helvetica, Times and Courier), so lines and pages can break in different places. Charts, drawn shapes, comments, headers and footers aren’t drawn. Pictures in formats the browser can’t read (such as EMF) appear as a labelled box. Characters outside the Latin alphabet (such as Greek, Cyrillic, Asian scripts and emoji) are replaced with “?”. Older .xls files need saving as .xlsx first. A spreadsheet saved by a program that doesn’t store formula results shows those cells empty; open and save it in your spreadsheet app first.
